Data format

InData is the owner of the ILCD+EPD data format and is responsible for the entire governance of the maintenance and further development. The data format was based on the already existing ILCD data format, developed by the European Commission’s DG JRC 4. This data format is widely used in the LCA context. The name ‘ILCD+EPD data format’ expresses that extensions with EPD specific information had to be made (e.g. scenarios, modules, type of data). The chosen format offers a high flexibility, which allows for the adaption of related specific national requirements or changes in the underlying standards in future.
